UOI Reflection
This term we will be doing things a little differently in our Units of Inquiry. We are going to run our final two Units concurrently across term 2 and 3. We hope this will allow us to follow the children's interests more as we dip in and out of the 2 central ideas and lines of inquiry. This week the children have done tuning in activities for both central ideas and the children showed the most interest in 'Where we are in place and time' so this will be the Unit that we kick off the term with.

Maths
This week - children have begun to learn their numbers, starting with number 1
Next week - children will continue to look at number 1. We will play games to practise recognition of the numeral and complete activities to practise writing the numeral.

English/Phonics
This week - children have been learning the listening skills required to begin our phonics lessonsNext week - we will continue developing our listening skills by playing different listening games
Inquiry Activities
This week - children have been 'tuning in'. We have cleared up rubbish from the EY outside area and discussed why this might be dangerous and harmful. We have also introduced a dinosaur museum.
Next week - Children will find out more about dinosaurs, museums and artefacts from the past.
Thai
This week - the children have been learning the letter ข ขวด. They made cows as part of their learning.
Next week - the children will learn ฅ ฅน.
