Maths

This week in maths we have been exploring shapes and colour. We combined this with some fine-motor skills practice which will help to build our muscles for writing later on.








English/Phonics

This week the children have been working on further developing their fine motor skills by developing their pencil control skills. The children used whiteboards pens to trace and follow patterns on laminated cards.

Learner Profile

This week we have been encouraging the children to be caring by taking care of the plants they donated on Teacher Appreciation day. 




International Mindedness/Student Choice (UOI)

This week the children have been voting again. This time we have introduced a voting station in the reading area and each day the children can vote for the book they would like to read at the end of the day. 




We also introduced the children to the rights of the child. We used photos of them doing certain things, like voting or playing with their friends, to make it relevant.
