Parent-Toddler Sessions


Our second parent-toddler session took place today and we had lots of fun. It was wonderful to meet so many of the families that will join us in August 2019. For our current parents, we would like to remind you that you are also welcome to attend these sessions as stay and play with your children. Please see the parent notices section at the end of the blog for times and dates. 



Maths

This week in maths we have been focusing on learning about numbers 1 and 2. The children have been identifying groups of 1 or 2 objects and practising writing the numbers. 






Phonics

This week our focus has been on the story of 'Superworm' by Julia Donalson and all the ways in which he can be used. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FpN4dftXLI
We also read the story "Why" to try and encourage the children to ask more questions.





Specialist Lessons

This week in Thai the children have been learning about healthy food. This links with our 'Try Something New' month which runs throughout May. Try to encourage your child to try a new, healthy food at home. 











Learner Profile

This week the children have been Inquireapods as the children were asking questions about where rain comes from, we made a rain-in-a-bag experiment which demonstrates evaporation, condensation and precipitation. 





International Mindedness/Student Choice (UOI)

This week the children have really enjoyed learning about push and pull forces by exploring push and pull toys. See if they can demonstrate a push and a pull to you at home.
