Parent-Toddler Sessions

Our first parent-toddler session took place today and was a great success. It was wonderful to meet so many of the families that will join us in August 2019. For our current parents, we would like to remind you that you are also welcome to attend these sessions as stay and play with your children. Please see the parent notices section at the end of the blog for times and dates. 




Maths

This week in maths we have been feeding our friends the Shape Monsters. Each monster will only eat a certain shape so the children have to match the shape to the monster. 




Phonics

This week we have been reading the story 'The Gruffalo's Child' by Julia Donaldson. 



Specialist Lessons

This week, as the children missed their music lesson on Wednesday, we have done lots of singing and dancing in class. 






Learner Profile

This week our Learner Profile focus has been Inquireapod. We have been encouraging the children to ask lots of questions about what different toys are made of and practised sorting objects by material.






Student Choice (UOI)

This week the children were also learning how to describe materials by how they feel. We talked about materials that feel hard and materials that feel soft.
