Things we do with families

Welcome Back!

We are so pleased to see everyone back happy and healthy after the mid-term break. We hope you all had a wonderful time whether you stayed at home or went away. Thank you to those of you who have sent in pictures of your activities. We have been sharing these with the children as part of our discussion about Things We Do With Families.

Maths

This week in maths we have been looking at patterns. The children have been using stacking beads to build on their hand-eye coordination, dexterity and to make repeating patterns. We will continue this theme for next week. Encourage your child to look for patterns around the home or outside.

Phonics

This week in phonics we have been listening for sounds around the home. Can your child recognise the sound of a telephone, knock at the door or the kettle boiling?

Specialist Sessions

This week the children have met our new Arts Teacher Mr Terry. They had lots of fun chanting, singing, dancing and drawing.

Student Choice

The children had lots of fun creating Rainbow Fish inspired art. This was fantastic for developing their fine motor skills.

Learner Profile

Next week I will be looking for the children to be Communicator-don's. I would like to see the children engaging in our Cafe role-play area by imagining and pretending.

Parent Notices

Please note that Friday 2nd November is our Open Morning. Parents are invited to 'stay and play' between 8.15 and 9.10.
