Care-raptors
This week I've been looking for the children to be Care-raptors. Many of the children were able to demonstrate kindness to others and develop their sharing skills with support from an adult.
Once they have demonstrated this attribute from the PYP Learner Profile, their picture goes up on the display, next to the dinosaur.
On Monday Miss Som-O came to talk to the children about how to wash their hands properly and why this is important. This was in response to the recent illnesses throughout the EY.
We have also started out targeted daily Phonics and Maths inputs this week. These are short, 5-minute sessions to encourage the children to engage in the topic and build on their listening and attention skills.
On Wednesday, Yu Qian's mum kindly donated ingredients for the children to make their own playdough. We had lots of fun measuring and mixing and the children love playing with the end product!
We have also had lots of fun playing with some new resources in the soft-play room this week! And there are even more new toys still to come!
Lastly, thank you to those parents who have already returned the original WOW moment forms we sent out with the All About Me Passports at the beginning of term. If you haven't returned them yet, don't worry there is still time!
Below is an example of a WOW moment. Anything new you notice your child has learnt can be a WOW moment. These will be stuck into your child's portfolio as examples of their development and progress.
If you have already returned the WOW moment form, please collect another one from the pot outside the classroom ready for your child's next WOW moment.
