Welcome to Pre-School!

This week has been a very busy and exciting time in Pre-school for the children and staff alike. We have spent this week building up trust and relationships with the children to lay the groundwork for the learning that will take place over the coming weeks and months.

Strong relationships are crucial to young children's learning and development as it enables them to feel secure and confident enough to explore and inquire.

This week we have allowed the children the freedom of choice in order for them to become familiar with the adults and the classroom environment.

Many of the children are now settling very quickly after parents and carers have left, which has allowed us plenty of time to begin to get to know each other.

The children have enjoyed exploring the classroom and resources and are beginning to understand our routines.

We are really excited about welcoming the children back next week and hope they will be too. Although many of the children are now settling well in class, please do not be upset if they find it difficult to arrive on Monday as often returning after the weekend can be as difficult as stating the term.

Thank you for all your help and support in settling your children into class this week, Miss Bom, Miss Goy and I look forward to continuing to work closely with you over the coming year.

Miss Charlotte
